Recognize the Characteristics of Puberty in Children

When does puberty start in children?
On average, girls will start puberty when they are 8-13 years old, while boys start at 9-14 years old. However, it is still considered normal if puberty comes earlier or later.

Physical Changes in Children During Puberty:
Girl :
• Breasts grow bigger
• Hips become wider
• Hair growth in the reproductive area and armpits

Boy :
• Hair growth around the genitals and armpits
• Change in voice to a lower level
• The testicles or genitals will get bigger.
